ABOUT ABE LEVELS 4, 5, 6 DIPLOMA QUALIFICATIONS

ATC is offering the Association of Business Executives (Abe) for all levels 4, 5 & 6 which is equivalent to 360 credits. This will enable anyone to excel in a huge variety of career pathways and gain an international and regional recognised qualification. Each level carries 120 credits which justifies that the individual is at the stage of achieving a bachelor’s degree leading to an MBA and is offered a clear progression. Adding to that, Entrepreneurialism is embedded throughout the programmes as it is of great benefit to employers who value staff that demonstrate entrepreneurial strategic abilities and in the ever-changing job market, having the know-how to create your own business is an invaluable life skill.

1. WHO SHOULD DO THE ABE COURSES?
These qualifications are accessible by anyone who has a desire to learn about Business; Marketing and Human Resource Management; Additionally, there is no age restriction to starting the courses at the level 4 Diploma. The courses in the level 4 Diploma are designed with the assumption that you know nothing and it builds incrementally as you progress from one level to another.

Persons who should start the ABE courses include:

  • Anyone who intends to pursue a career in Management or Marketing.
  • Anyone who owns and manages his/ her own business.
  • Anyone who is seeking an introduction to management.
  • Anyone who wants to progress to a Degree or Masters programme.
  • Professionals of other disciplines who want to enhance their understanding of management.

2. ABOUT THE ABE EXAMINATION
The ABE exams are externally set, monitored and marked by the ABE body. Exams are done twice annually in the months of June and December. They are paper-based and usually last for three hours. The results for these exams become available in approximately two months.
3. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE ABE PROGRAMME

  • Level 4 Diploma: 4 Courses, 6 to 12 months + 1 month Free exam preparation.
  • Level 5 Diploma: 8 Courses, 12 to 24 months + 1 month Free exam preparation.
  • Level 6 Diploma: 5 Courses, 6 to 12 months + 1 month Free exam preparation.

As shown in the preceding list, the entire suite of qualifications can be comfortably achieved within twenty-four (24) months or two (2) years. There is no limit within which to complete all of the courses so you can structure your studies around your family and work commitments and become qualified at your own pace. However, we advise that you endeavour to complete the courses in a quick succession as the various subject matters will be fresh in your memory.

4. HOW TO GET STARTED WITH THE ABE PROGRAMME

Register with ATC

Registering with ATC gives you access to tuition, study materials, exam practice and preparation along with great student support. Our friendly Customer Service Representatives will assist you in completing our tuition registration form, receive your payment and answer any questions you may have.

 

Register with ABE

You will be required to register with the ABE to become a student of that body. This must be done before you can write any of the examinations and the processing of your registration will take approximately 2 months to complete. You are therefore advised to register as early as possible to prevent any delay in writing your exams at the end of your course(s) at ATC.

Step 1: When to register

Registration to become a member takes place any time with ABE. However, if a student wishes to sit for a specific examination session, the following deadlines apply:

  • For the June examinations – registration has to be done by the first Friday in March
  • For the December examinations – registrations has to be done by the first Friday in September

Step 2: What happens next

As soon as a student’s registration has been processed successfully, he/she will receive his/her student welcome pack. This contains all the information about that student’s ABE membership (including his/ her membership card) and a detailed syllabus. Welcome packs may take up to 6 weeks to be received by a student if he/ she reside outside of the UK. However, they may take longer during busy periods prior to exams.
