Our History

Accountancy Training Centre Inc. is a 100% Guyanese-owned business that specializes in delivering academic and professional training programs to individuals coming from diverse educational backgrounds. It is an Institution that has over 24 years’ experience in this field and has equipped many professionals in Guyana and further afield with the qualifications they’ve used to build their success stories.

ATC. has invested heavily in technology and has been delivering all of its courses online since 2020 in response to the Covid-19 countrywide restrictive measures that were in place at that time.  This change of operations was also in keeping with the changes being adopted by the awarding organisations that the Institution has been long-standing partners with. These organisations have moved away from traditional methods of assessment whereby some of them have on-demand exams, computer-based exams while other have open-book exams that students take online at their convenience.

In 2021, ATC. has implemented Moodle as its Learning Management System (LMS) where all of its courses are structured, delivered and evaluated in one comprehensive cloud-based platform.  Moodle has improved the Institution’s level of efficiency by approximately 20% in the areas of course delivery, record keeping and internal quality assurance monitoring while at the same time enhancing the online learning environment for its students.

The Institution is currently in the process of negotiating with other potential partners to offer more course options to its student base and to also enhance its capacity to accommodate a wider variety of computer-based examinations for various international awarding organisations.  Some of these negotiations are in their end stage and announcements will be made as soon as they have been finalised.
